A Happy Medium 😍 As the weather warms I am ALWAYS up for a big bowl of salad BUT how many of you #eat a bounty of raw & leafy things & end up just a little on the turbulent side of life for a while πŸ’¨πŸ˜³.

Well even if you don’t I DO 🀫 SO we will just talk about my #digestivehealth from now instead 😜.

The relatively sudden transition a lot of people make to more raw foods in summer can be a bit burdensome for the gut πŸ₯΅ YES they are wonderfully #nutritious BUT the fibre is different, the volumes we consume change & we also tend to have a wider variety of ingredients at each meal πŸ₯‘πŸ₯¦πŸ†πŸ₯’πŸ₯¬.

Again YAY for nutritional variety but also a β€˜Hold on chaps’ scenario for the old tum πŸ™ˆ.
.
So my simple advice here is smooth that segue, roast up your tougher veggies & combine with plenty of bitter leaves, some #fermentedfoods & serve them WARM to add a little firepower to the breakdown process πŸ’₯ If you still really struggle then a short term digestive enzyme can be a fantastic tool too πŸ€— (but you also may want to consider your #guthealth overall).

Think of it like starting a new exercise regime πŸ‘‰πŸ» the 1st few times your muscles hurt like nobody’s business but GRADUALLY you adapt, you get stronger & recover more quickly πŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Our body just needs a similar lag time to get on board when our eating habits change πŸ‘ŒπŸ».

{ROASTED ONION, TOMATOES & BALSAMIC}.
1 onion, cherry tomatoes, parsley, almonds, @organicorealfoods olive oil & balsamic glaze.
.
Slice the onion, toss with the olive oil & toast at 190C for 20 mins.
Add to a plate, halve the tomatoes, arrange with the parsley & sprinkle over the chopped almonds.
Drizzle abundantly with the balsamic glaze & GO πŸ™ŒπŸ».
