A Very British Breakfast 🍞 Because my little slices of loveliness look like they’ve formed an orderly queue on my plate don’t they 😆.

Jokes aside now the combination of #toast with sweet toppings like jam or honey (jelly to my friends across the pond 🇺🇸) IS something that I grew up with, & sadly in its original envisaging is NOT something I would recommend from here on out 😔.

(If we’re being truthful I moved my family over to options like #homemade #sugarfree chia jam LONG ago, & white bread only enters the house at Christmas for my mum to make stuffing 🤭 I’m VERY mean 🙈).
.
But what happens when you just fancy with that aromatic & heady sweet & crispy pairing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Well you choose a combination that BALANCES the whole shebang in YOUR favour, you pick ingredients that deliver MORE than just taste & you blinking well SIT DOWN & ENJOY every last bite 🙌🏻 .

Now the big hitters to touch on are your fibre, fats & protein 👉🏻 these hold hands with those simple carbohydrates (sugars) & stop them from bombing into the blood like overexcited kids at the beginning of the summer holidays 🤪 (good luck to all parents, this time FAST APPROACHES 😳).

By turning to my Anything Muffins as a base (jumbo #oats + ground almonds + @planetpaleo collagen + #organic eggs + hemp & sesame seeds + whole apples to bind & sweeten 👌🏻) & then #topping with @beekeepers_naturals #rawcacao superfood honey (you get all those immune supporting benefits in addition to the flavour) & @bionaorganic #almondbutter I’ve maximised on those blood glucose supporting brakes 😁 Who wants to say #nutritiousanddelicious first…….

So yes Phoebe is NOT in fact the sugar police, she is just a bit of a stickler when it comes to HOW those #sweettreats appear in your day to day 🤓.

Oh & OF COURSE she absolutely LOVES a queue 🤣.
